Living in Pakistan has its up and downs. But it has definitely made you a stronger person.
If you have lived in Pakistan all your life, then you must have learned the following life lessons.
1. You have learned how to make your own way against all odds.
2. You hardly ever get nervous in big crowds.
3. You can drive through anything, anyhow and anywhere. ANYWHERE.
4. You can tolerate high levels of spices. Raw green chillies? Yes, please.
5. You know the street food has made your immune system super strong. Nothing can win against your digestive system… at least most of the times.
6. You have become the master of bargaining.
7. Roller-coaster rides don’t faze you one bit because you are an experienced rickshaw traveller.
8. You have achieved expert level patience thanks to load shedding and traffic jams.
9. Talking of load shedding, it has taught you how to accomplish important tasks in absolute darkness.
10. You know how to exist and function without internet.
11. You know very well how to ‘adjust’…
12. You have learned to dodge nosy questions because your khandaan has trained you well.
13. You aren’t scared of toofans anymore.
14. You have seen some pretty weird things in life.
15. Even after all this… Public toilets still scare you to death.
True story, isn’t it?
