Instagram, an online photo and video sharing social network, is abundantly popular across the world. Celebrities, sportsmen, brands, businesses and even the small businesses have lately started to resort to Instagram as their primary mode for reaching out to customers and followers.
Instagram is not a new phenomenon for Pakistanis, however, adaption rates in Pakistan are comparatively lower than other regional and global markets.
Insights — shared by Instagram advertisers — suggest that Instagram currently has just over half a million users in Pakistan, however, Pakistani audience on Instagram is considered more clean and authentic, which are mainly from the educated and socially aware segment of the society.

As of 1st October, 2015, Instagram allowed advertisements to be placed for Pakistani audience. Mondelez Pakistan (Digital Agency: Starcom Pakistan) has been the first company to start rolling-out ads on Instagram for all its three brands; Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Perk and Tang.
